So… I’m not good at keeping them, but I’ll try once again… (Persistence is the key to success!!).

1. To improve my school-grades:
*Take more notes at school
*Review notes the Same Day after school
2. Overall productivity
*Spend less time on computer
*Play no more than 1hour/day
3. Sport
*Get sports-like clothing(comfortable sweatpants instead of uncomfortable jeans)
*Move more
*(exercise daily… impossible for me!)

That’s about it I guess

Guitar Man

A Guitar-Hero™ like game, except that it uses a real electric guitar.
This is a game aimed at real guitarists, maybe for the purpose of learning while having fun or doing Solo battles over the internet.

How It Works:
First of all, the player has to tune the software to his guitar. Calibrate. This is done by plugging in the jack into the computer and playing a few key notes, same can be done with a distortion.
The playing interface will be rather similar to Guitar Hero™, with a road-like fretboard, but instead of just 5 lines with buttons, it will have 6 (since the guitar has 6 strings) with numbers (fret), and for the more advanced, also signs such as ‘let ring’, ‘vibrate’ and such.
Tutorials will also be easy to create, and could teach various techniques as well as finger placements (allows images and a simple scheme to show how to place fingers).

iMemorizer

A little application for Macs, that helps students and others memorize information.
How It Works:
It will activate itself randomly a few times a day, depending on settings, and will fade all to black, turn off volume, and display part of the information the user gave to it. It can be text or images.
When an information is memorized, a user can click “I remember” and the information will not appear often anymore.
Another option would be Tests, for such things as dates, that will be shuffled and the user will have to connect to the events.

iMemorizer would have a place in the mac’s top-bar, where one can edit settings (such as “Don’t activate when I’m playing Quake 3″) .

Simple as that.

Frets on Fire n Macs

I’ve downloaded Frets on Fire, a guitar hero like game (I’ve never played one before, except maybe Step Mania for some time..).
Being written in python, it uses a shitload of CPU for very simple tasks, so it’s a bit lame for that. It came only with 3 songs, and only google helped out on where to find other songs, and especially HOW to put those songs in FretsOnFire (eww, have to put it INSIDE the application.. omg). It also came with a tutorial, a very funny one with Jurgen, but except telling how much I suck, it didn’t really teach on how to play the game. Took me a while to figure that the full circles didn’t have to be picked on.
However, except that stuff, it’s a pretty addicting game, and some songs are really crazy, so much so that my wrist hurts now. :|

I’ve been running my Mac for over 11 days without reboot, and it’s giving me some stability problems… Adium crashes every day at least twice, and other programs lag a lot. I guess a reboot is a must every 5 days or so for my macmini (only 1GB of RAM..).
This is ofcourse much better than a Windows PC where I’d reboot every 2 days at best..

That would be a Serj Tankian song, in my interpretation “The school is over”.. (btw, great song). Last day for this year. Nice.
Not nice the fact that I got 5 failing classes. Math, History, Italian, Chemistry and Biology. All of them with more than one F :|
However I *should* be able to manage them before the end of the year!

For peculiar reasons, I’ve restarted practicing some guitar :D
Got Guitar Pro5 and am doing.. I guess ‘good’.
Learned Yesterday by the Beatles! And small pieces of other songs (now that I think about it, it’s the first song I learn fully!).

I’ve also tried writing down “V Trave Sidel Kuznechik” (A grasshopper Sat in The Grass), which is a kid’s tune.

Here’s my first ever tab:
(Played on one string, E)
V trave sidel kuznechik, Sovsem kak ogurechik
5-0-5-0-5-4-4-4-0-4-0-4-5-5
Sovsem kak ogurechik, Zelenen’kij on byl
5-0-5-0-5-4-4-4-0-4-0-4-5-5
Predstav’te sebe, predstav’te sebe,
5-7-7-7-7-7-8-8-8-8-7
Sovsem kak ogurechik
7-5-4-5-5

And so on.
Here are the lyrics from that point on:

Predstav’te sebe, predstav’te sebe,
Zelenen’kij on byl!

No vot prishla ljagushka,
Prozhorlivoe brjushko,
Prozhorlivoe brjushko,
I s”ela kuzneca!

Predstav’te sebe, predstav’te sebe,
Prozhorlivoe brjushko,
Predstav’te sebe, predstav’te sebe,
I s”ela kuzneca!

Ne dumal, ne gadal on,
Nikak ne ozhidal on,
Nikak ne ozhidal on,
Takogo vot konca!

Predstav’te sebe, predstav’te sebe,
Nikak ne ozhidal on,
Predstav’te sebe, predstav’te sebe,
Takogo vot konca!

I’m becoming more diligent and professional. >:D
Figured what really matters is how good you do things, given the time you spent doing it:  performance. Some activities might be totally useless if your performance sucks at it. Whereas others, even though useless, but with a high performance, could be good.
This is because what Others really care about is the output, whereas We care about the input.

Output = Input*Performance

A good performance will ease your life and improve it greatly.

Activity Division:
I’ve thought up this just now, on 4 classes of activities to better manage time and schedule.
*Unique: Something like an appointment, which only happens once.
*Periodical: Something that is done everyday (or almost) at a certain period of time, like school or dinner.
*Daily: Something that’s done every day, but doesn’t really matter when. Such as walking your dog or taking a shower.
*Weekly: Things done every week, again, doesn’t really matter when. Sub-category could be Weekly Periodical (done every monday.. eg. part-time job).

According to those labels, one could divide and arrange his weekly schedule… Where most things can be changed freely, to have a dynamic schedule instead of a fixed one (that gets boring after a while) (but is easier to remember).

It’s like… 2 weeks without posting.. zomg! ¬.¬

Why? Because I don’t think there’s anything to post really! Especially since nobody reads this. But then again, I knew nobody was going to read… Still, it’s somewhat depressing ^^

However since I’m writing progress on this blog.. (btw, there has been very few lately).
BUT! There has been some. I’m reading russian short poems every day, when my computer is doing some work.. And now since I’m getting killed by the monitor, am also reading a book every now and then, when my dad is around.

Negative fact, I’ve become a quake3 addict. But I suck ^^, been playing on a tier1 map at difficulty 4 (out of 5) for almost 2 days without success. Always die at 70% basically…

Parallel owns. Mac rocks. Chrome is really nice. Lunascape is titanic… it will sink.

P.S.
I’ve got the idea of joining a french UrT Clan <KoS> .. maybe to learn french. But now I’m finding it rather difficult…

Taking things for granted

So, I’ve figured that I’m really happy with my life.
I’ve got a beautiful house, that my parents pay for. I’ve got pretty much nice parents, although I do complain a lot, they are really great. Health and Fitness: although I’m not too well built up, even genetic-wise, I’ve got to say that I’m really lucky to be fit, although I’m not doing any sport. Mac: I believe it’s one of the best OS’s out there, and I have it on my desktop; I also have a great 20″ monitor that goes with it awesomely. I’m happy with just about everything in my life, but now that I think about it, 99% of it isn’t even mine. Or maybe it is, but it wasn’t ACHIEVED by me.
My parents pay for the house. I didn’t choose my parents, but they support me anyways. I was born healthy (relatively..).  My parents bought me the Mac, monitor and everything.

So far, I’m taking too many things for granted.
If I were to leave my house now and look for a job in another city, I’d do poorly. I can barely cook anything, have rather poor management skills, nor too good people’s.

All this is nowhere near good. Except the fact that I’m happy with my life. But then again, maybe that’s bad too, since it makes me even lazier. Why do something, when it’s all good anyways?
A) To make it better!! > a pessimist would reply: But who cares, we’re good anyways..
B) To learn
…ok are there any other answers to this question? I think only A is fit, without the pessimist’s reply, since it’s just stupid.

Outcome: ACHIEVE through Commitment, Strength and Determination.

I own.

I finally fixed the damn bike I have, where the pedals had to be unscrewed the other way. Took me a while to figure that out…

My selfdevelopment program is slowly dying, but it’s fruits are growing nicely.
